A funeral mass was offered March 30 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church for Vincent M. Mastandrea, 79, of Hoboken. He passed away Monday, March 25 at Hoboken University Medical Center. Vincent was a retired assistant postmaster for 34 plus years at the main Hoboken Post Office and orchestrated many educational tours there. He was also a union official. Vincent was a veteran of the U. S. National Guard. He was a dedicated member of the Holy Name Society at St. Ann’s Church for many years. A special wonder in his life was his granddaughter Tara Suter. Sharing time with her was his favorite pastime. He was the best babysitter and taught his granddaughter many wonderful things about family history as well as Hoboken history. Surviving are his wife of 55 years Frances (nee Russo), his only daughter Angela Suter and her husband Edward. Vincent was predeceased by his parents Angela (nee Cervone) and Vito Mastandrea and a late brother Frank. Also surviving are his nieces Cheryl Kirschbaum (Howard), Sharon Perez (Frank) and their children Alisha and Sandra and great grandnephews Brayden and Logan. Vincent also leaves a host of cousins and special friends. Services arranged by the Failla Funeral Home, Hoboken.
