Funeral services were held March 29 for Joseph Parete, 95, of Weehawken. He passed away March 25. Joe was born in Union City and resided in Weehawken for the last 55 years. Joe served his country as a corporal in the US Army Air Force during World War II. Joe was a machinist for the Groove Pin Company in Ridgefield for many years before retiring. He is survived by his wife Anna M. McCarthy Parete; his daughters Loretta and her husband Tony Gonnella; JoAnn and her husband Peter Midgley; his son in law James Behan; his brother Salvatore Parete; his sisters Rosemary Weinstein and Marilyn Parete; his niece TJ Smith and his nephews Anthony and Frank Giancona; his grandchild Alfonse and Dean Gonnella; Christopher and Joseph and his wife Crista Behan. Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
