Jersey City farmers markets return

Jersey City farmers markets return
Farmers markets set to open in Jersey City.

“Farmers’ markets are crucial to our community as they provide easy access to healthy, fresh produce. We expanded the farmers’ markets into every area of Jersey City, and the markets accept SNAP, WIC, and senior vouchers,” said Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop. “This is also a sustainable way for our community to support local small businesses. Many of these markets are open until December, and some happen twice a week.” The market schedule is as follows: Van Vorst Park, Saturday, April 27, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Paulus Hook, Saturday, April 27, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Historic Downtown SID, Monday, April 29, 4 to 8 p.m.; Hamilton Park, Wednesday, May 1, 3 to 7:30 p.m.; Journal Square Green Market, Wednesday, May 1, 2 to 8 p.m.; Riverview Park, Sunday, May 5, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.;  Lincoln Park, Sunday, June 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Arlington Park, Saturday, July 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
