BUCKENMAIER, ROBERTA A.

A memorial service was held April 27 at St. Nicholas R.C. Church for Roberta A. Buckenmaier, 69. She died peacefully on Dec. 2, 2018. She was born in Jersey City, living there most of her life with the last 27 years as a resident of North Bergen. Roberta was a graduate of St. Dominic Academy and Jersey City State Teachers College both of Jersey City. She was a teacher at St. Joseph’s and St. Anne Schools in Jersey City and later became a private tutor. Roberta was a choir singer at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church in Hoboken. She loved singing, dancing, children, the Jersey Shore, animals and being with family and friends. Roberta was predeceased by her parents Robert and Agnes. Surviving are her sisters Lorraine Russo and Claire Buckenmaier; she is also survived by many cousins and friends. Services arranged by the Fallon Funeral Home, Jersey City.
