A memorial service will be held in Hoboken in June for Margaret Wallach, 86, a 21-year resident of Annapolis, Md. She passed away April 18 at her home. She was born in Hoboken where she graduated from Demarest High School and worked for over 30 years at the Stevens Institute of Technology. Margaret was active in the community serving as a Sunday School teacher at the Community Church of Hoboken and a Girl Scout leader for over 25 years. After moving to Annapolis, Margaret became a Midshipman Mom for six U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen between 2003 and 2006. She was also a member of the Ballard Senior Center in Eastport. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Kurt Wallach; her parents, Stephen and Anna Zavacky; and three brothers, Joseph, Stephen and Edward Zavacky. She is survived by two children, Kurt B. Wallach of Anthem AZ and Krista Wallach of Annapolis, and two brothers, John (Anita) Zavacky of Bradenton, Fla. and William Zavacky of Clovis, Calif.
