TORRILLO, MICHELE

A funeral mass took place May 7 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City, for Michele “Michael” Torrillo, 85, of Jersey City.  He passed away May 2 surrounded by his family. Michele was a long time resident of the Marion Section of Jersey City. Michele worked for NJ Transit before retiring after 25 years of service. He loved to cook, tend to his garden, and make wine; but most of all he loved and was devoted to his family. He was the husband of Carmela Torrillo for 44 years. He was the father of Antonio Torrillo and his wife Doralynn; Nicola Torrillo and his wife Cheryl; Carolina Torrillo; and Angelo Torrillo and his wife Jennie.  Nono (Grandfather) of Kenneth, Ashley, Michael, Gabriella, Angelo, Jr., Gianna, and Mariana. He was the brother of Caterina, Concetta, Rosalia, and Francesco. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
