The F.A. Mackenzie Unit 165 American Legion Auxiliary, Bayonne, has announced the following names of the local students who have won awards for their annual Americanism Essay Contest.
The Americanism Essay Contest was titled “How can we address and prevent veterans homelessness in our communities?” The winners are:
Class I – Grade 3-4
Winner – Sadie Silver (All Saints Catholic Academy)
Honorable Mention – Luke Eckert, Logan Servodis, Kai Loiacono (All from All Saints)
Class II – Grade 5-6
Winner – Aidan Miklas (All Saints Catholic Academy)
Honorable Mention – Ava De Joy, Michael Kim, Amanda Kastner (All from All Saints)
Class III – Grade 7-8
Winner – Frances Prekop (All Saints Catholic Academy)
Honorable Mention – Julia Mickiewicz, Rocco Barone, Madelyn Martinez (All from All Saints)
Class VI – Special Needs Winner – Dantae Rodriguez (Lincoln Community School)
