A funeral Mass was offered June 3 at St. Joseph and Michael R.C.C., Union City, for Richard Anthony Clerici, formerly of Union City. He passed away peacefully on May 30. He was predeceased by the love of his life Mary (nee Siano); also his brothers Joseph and William and sister Mary Kowal. He is survived by his sister Thelma Giambartolomei; father of Victoria Bachmann and her husband Keith, and Donna Diziki and her husband Richard; grandfather of Christine Mellusi and her husband Joseph, Jacqueline Bachmann and her fiancé Tyler Monroy and Matthew Bachmann, and Craig and Alyssa Diziki. He was the great-grandfather of Stella Mellusi and his dog Sadie. Richard served in the Artillery Division of the US Army during the Korean War. He was very proud of his service and visited local schools for various commemorative services. He was honored in Washington to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. After his time in the war he was a radio and TV technician and later worked for the US Post Office until he retired. Richard continued to volunteer throughout his life for the American Legion and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
