Summer hours at Grace Lutheran Church start July 7

Summer hours begin on July 7 at Grace Lutheran Church, 836 Avenue (at West 37th St.). Church service starts at 10 a.m., instead of the regular 11 a.m. time. Choir practice remains at one hour prior to church service – 9 a.m. Two entertaining activities in July sandwich the third July event – the annual blood drive:

July 7 – Service on the Green, followed by Neighborhood Picnic at 10 a.m.

July 11 – American Red Cross Blood Drive from 3 – 8 p.m.

July 21 – Annual Freedom Unity Service with Grace, Trinity Episcopal, Bayonne & Trinity Lutheran, Jersey City at Trinity Episcopal at 10 a.m.

“Meeting our neighbors and ‘breaking bread’ is as important as attending Sunday service,” said Pastor Gary A. Grindeland. “Looking forward to seeing all of you at the picnic after church on July 7!”

“We welcome everyone to our third annual blood drive,” added the Grace Lutheran pastor. “Walk-ins are encouraged, as well as scheduled blood donors. Giving blood is giving life. Please donate a pint!”
