FOYE, JOHN

passed away on June 16, 2019, at Overlook Hospital, Summit. Jack was born in Jersey City to the late Mary (nee: Nolan) and Thomas Foye and was a longtime Bayonne and Avon-By-The-Sea resident. Jack served the nation as a member of the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1956. Jack was Bayonne’s First Ward Councilman from 1974 to 1986, serving as the City Council President from 1978 to 1986. Jack was predeceased by his wife, Claire Anne (nee: Shanahan) Foye in 2006; and his son, Kevin T. Foye in 2008. He is survived by his sons, John Drew Foye, and his wife, Maureen, and Jay Foye, and his wife, Marie; and his five grandchildren, John Drew, Thomas, Brian, Michael and Andrew Foye.
