O’KEEFFE, SEAN

A funeral mass took place July 2 at St. Michael’s Church, Jersey City, for Sean O’Keeffe, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He passed away June 30 Jersey City Medical Center, with his family by his side. He was a graduate of St. Michael’s School in Jersey City. For many years, he served as a popular bartender at Shannon’s Bar in Jersey City and had been employed by the county of Hudson at Brennan Courthouse. He is survived by his mother Kathleen; sisters Margaret, Noreen, and Nuala; brothers Michael, Patrick, Brian, and Brendan; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, ten nieces and nephews, and a long list of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Patrick, and baby sister Kathleen. Services arranged by the  Michalski Funeral Home, Jersey City.
