Hoboken City Council to hold special meeting July 18


The Hoboken City Council has scheduled a special meeting on Thursday, July 18, at 6 p.m. at city hall, 94 Washington St.

The tentative agenda includes several resolutions including an interim redevelopment agreement for the western edge, a ban on cars on Sundays on Sinatra Drive in July and August, bringing fireworks to the waterfront, asking the mayor to revise the terms of the city’s contract with e-scooter providers, appointing Stephen Bond as a member of the city’s Alcohol Beverage Control board, and  a 90-day trial with Populous Mobility Manager for Micromobility Management Services.

The tentative agenda also includes two introductory ordinances, one amending the redevelopment plan for the Northwest Industrial Area, and the other, updating the city’s ethics ordinance.

There is a public-comments portion of the meeting.
