DUNNE, SHEILA JANE

A funeral mass was offered July 6 at St. Joseph’s of the Palisades Church for Sheila Jane Dunne, a life-long resident of West New York. She passed away July 2 with family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She dedicated her life to her family, friends, and church, St. Joseph’s of the Palisades. A fierce advocate for her town, she was engaged in numerous civic functions, most notably as a poll worker. Sheila left an indelible mark on those lucky enough to know her and she served as an exemplar of faith, generosity, and love. She was predeceased by her parents Marion and Fred Dunne, her sisters Doris and Marion, and her brother Frank. She is survived by her nephew Gary Sciancalepore, nieces Doris ( and Paul) McCormick and Lori ( and Jose) Rodriguez, and grand nieces and nephews Paul Jr., Kyle, and Kaleigh McCormick and Gary Rodriguez.
