PAONE, LINDA

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated July 19 at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City, for Linda Paone, 68. She passed away, surrounded by her family, on July 16. Linda was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident until moving to Galloway for a time and most recently, Toms River for the past two years. Linda was employed as a Jersey City School Crossing Guard for nineteen years and later, for Bradlees Department Store in the jewelry department, until her retirement. She was also a longtime parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Jersey City. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Paone, her parents James and Caroline (nee Gajdzsiz) Breslin; brothers, Gary Gajdzisz and Kenneth Breslin, and brothers in law, Joseph and Angelo Paone. She is survived by her children, Nancy Competiello and her husband Frank, Kelly Paone-White and her husband Michael and Thomas A. Paone, Jr. and his wife Donna Vollero, grandchildren, Alexis and Victoria Competiello, Natalie Paone and Thomas Jude White. Linda is also survived by her siblings, James Breslin, Patricia Cieslak, Warren Breslin, Stephen Gajdzisz, Arlene Falco (Jerry), Michael Gajdzisz (Carmen) and Holly Gajdzisz; brother in law, Victor Paone Jr. (Carol) and sister in law, Michelle Paone, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
