The Divine Liturgy was celebrated June 27 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Westfield, for Peter Thomas, 95 of New York City. He passed away at home peacefully on June 22. Peter was born in Brooklyn, and has resided in Bayonne, as well as New York City. Peter served his country during W.W.II from 1943 to 1946 in the U.S. Navy. In his younger years, he worked for his family business at the DeWitt Luncheonette. He was a sales promotion writer for Forbes Magazine in New York City for many years. He was the son of the late Peter Thomopoulos and Jennie Athanasakos Thomopoulos; brother of Clement Thomas and his wife Angela. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the G. Keenen O’Brien Funeral Home, Bayonne.
