A memorial mass was held Aug. 17 at St. Vincent’s Church for John D. D’Alessio, 67. He passed away peacefully on Aug. 9 at NYU Langone Health in Brooklyn, surrounded by his family. John was born in Jersey City and has been a lifelong Bayonne resident. He was a retired aircraft mechanic, working for over 30 years, at TWA/American Airlines at LaGuardia Airport in Queens. He was an avid Yankee and Saints fan, and enjoyed being a Bayonne Little League Coach for over 20 years. He was a lector for St. Vincent’s Church, and an adult altar server for the Noon Mass at St. Henry’s Church. He was the husband of Monica; father of Spencer D’Alessio and Stacey D’Alessio; brother of Thomas D’Alessio and his wife Eileen, Joanne Guta and her husband Kevin, Marianne TaBois and her husband Kevin, Jane Giannaci and her husband Anthony, and Carolanne D’Alessio; uncle of Tommy and Katie D’Alessio, Mark Giannaci and his wife Dana, Nicholas Giannaci and his wife Jamie, Brielle, Marin and Elliza Guta, Joey Pasuco and his wife Joanne, and Sheri Pasuco; great-uncle of Ava, Olivia, Gianna, and Lia. He is also survived by his dogs Stuart and Fletcher. Services arranged by the G. Keenen O’Brien Funeral Home, Bayonne.
