A funeral mass took place Aug. 28 at Holy Rosary R.C. Church for Edward De Salvo, 91, of Brick, formerly of Jersey City. He passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Aug. 21. Born in Jersey City, Edward worked for Union Terminal Cold Storage (Teamsters Local 617) for 42 years before retiring in 1989. He then went on to tend-bar for the 513 Club in Hoboken and worked as a freight elevator operator at the Harborside Financial Center, retiring in 2017. Edward was also a member of the Columbus Club in Downtown Jersey City, the Jersey Coast Shark Anglers Club in Brick and was an avid “sun worshiper. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie (nee Centinaro). Edward was the father of Edward, Jr. and his wife, Lois; grandfather of Marissa, Danielle, Alexis Wood (Richard) and Jaqueline; great-grandfather of Damon, Victoria, Jared and Vanessa; “Uncle Babe” of many nieces and nephews.
