POSEY, DAVID CARLTON

Funeral services took place Aug. 29 for David Carlton Posey, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He was born to the late Margie Arlee Posey Ghant and David Young, Sr. He passed away Aug. 17 at the Northern State Prison in Newark. He received his education through the Jersey City Public School System, attending PS 15 and Lincoln High School. After graduation, he started his work career employed at Meadowview Hospital and the City of Jersey City Department of Public Works. While incarcerated, David gave his life to the Lord, and was baptized in 2004. He also completed a Barber Program there as well. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Margina and Cody Ghant. David leaves to cherish his fond memories, his daughters, Leanna Porter-Harris (Sid) and Shavon Garner; grandchildren, Heaven, Jerell and Issac Harris; siblings, Joffrey, Rosalie and Ammie Ghant, and David Young, Jr.; niece and nephews, Tacoda (CJ) and Paul Ghant, and Derell Easterling; 7 great nieces & nephews, and other  relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Charles A. West Funeral Home, Bayonne.
