SIMS, ARTILOUS JR.

Funeral services took place Sept. 28 for Artilous Sims Jr., 90, a longtime resident of Jersey City. He passed away Sept. 23. He was a US Air Force veteran, musician, US Postal Service retiree and devout Christian. He was the son of the late Edna Chandler Sims (former) and Artilous Sims Sr. and husband of Verna Bright Sims. He was the brother of the late Albert Sims. Father to Vernell, Artilous III., Ulysses, James Alvin, Mark Anthony, the late Thaddius, and Yolanda. He leaves to mourn seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Family Funeral Home, Newark.
