North Hudson Partnership is dedicating the day to women's physical, mental, community, and economic health.

This Sunday, Oct. 13, the North Hudson Partnership will host an event called Women’s Wellness Day at Weehawken American Legion Post 18.

It’s scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., directly following a breast cancer awareness walk, which ends at the Legion post.

Nearly 20 participating organizations are working to increase awareness of and access to women’s health resources across North Hudson. Residents can learn about free health, legal, and financial services from local care providers. There will also be an employment center for resume clinics and mock interviews, as well as panels on how to improve women’s physical, mental, community, and economic health.

Services offered that day include health screenings, connecting to mental health services, and information on child and family assistance, senior affairs, nutrition and fitness, consumer affairs, legal services, benefits, insurance, and professional photos.

The event is free to all residents of Guttenberg, North Bergen, Union City, Weehawken, and West New York. It’s sponsored by Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center.
