A mass of Christian burial was offered Oct. 22 at St. Aedan’s, The Saint Peter’s University Church, Jersey City, for Laura “Dolly” Turco, 90, of Jersey City and Warren. She passed away at Jersey City Medical center on Oct. 17, after a brief illness, while surrounded by her family. Born in Manhattan “the lower east side”, Laura worked at the counter at Lofts Chocolates in New York City. She settled in Jersey City, close to her brother Sonny, to raise her two daughters, where she remained until she visited her daughter two years ago in Warren and never left. She worked for many years at The Chinese Kitchen in Jersey City. She loved spending time with her family, especially cozied up on the couch with her multiple sweet grand dogs while watching classic movies. Laura was a mother to her two daughters, Toni Ann Turco and her husband Al Lopez (ret. JCPD) and Linda Emmanouildis. She is also survived by her brother Natale “Sonny” Infurna, several nieces, god children, family and friends. Laura was predeceased by her brother, Dominick Infurna. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
