The Kennedy Dancers, a non-profit professional dance company, dance school and ‘Dance Vista’ television productions at 79 Central Avenue, Jersey City, have announced their 2019 Holiday Showcase.
The showcase will feature performances by The Kennedy Dancers Repertory Company (professionals) with choreography by Diane Dragone to Handel’s ‘Water Music’, Dr. Larry King’s ‘O’ Gracious Light’, and Pachelbel’s ‘Canon in D Major’.
The Repertory Company will perform along with The Inner City Youth Pre-professional Dancers; as well as students from the Dance School in Ms. Dragone’s Caribbean ‘Silent Night’, and ‘Akiwowo’, music by Babatunde Olatunji.
An added feature this year are several variations from the Nutcracker, including Le Promenade of Mother Ginger, The Spanish Dance, Chinese Dance, The Russian Dance, The Tarantella, and The Sugar Plum Fairy choreographed by
Co-rehearsal Director Kat Reese.
This year’s show will include both traditional and non-traditional works in dance. The Kennedy Dancers 2019 Holiday Showcase is not just a variation of the ‘Nutcracker’, but a cultural celebration of music and dance celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, and others.
The showcase will be presented at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 440 Hoboken Ave., Jersey City, on Thursday, December 19 at 10:00 a.m. for schools only and December 21 at 7:30 p.m. for the general public.
Early Bird Special: Tickets purchased by December 6, 2019 are priced at $20.00 for Adults; $15.00 for Children under age 12 and Seniors for the 7:00 p.m. evening performance on 12/21/19.
Ticket Pricing after Dec.6th and at the door: $25.00 for Adults; Children under age 12 and Senior Citizens pay $20.00 per ticket.
The school performance at 10:00am on Thursday, 12/19/19, is only for students, faculty, and school staff. School performance price is $8.00 per ticket.

This special holiday production is a fundraising event, and tickets sales will help defray the cost of The Kennedy Dancers’ many outreach programs.
