The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and Jersey City Police Department seek information from the public on a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, Nov. 2, at approximately 12:30 a.m., near Bergen and Lexington avenues in Jersey City.
Members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to a report of shots fired but did not find a victim at that location. A man, later identified as Sirheen Walker, age 30, of Jersey City, was found to have been privately transported from that location to Jersey City Medical Center.
Walker was pronounced dead at approximately 12:45 a.m.
The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating this case and no arrests have been made.
