THOMPSON, SHEILA

Funeral services were held Oct. 25 for Sheila Thompson, 78, of Whiting, formerly of Jersey City. She passed away Oct. 22. Born in Jersey City, she was a graduate of Snyder High School. Sheila was employed as assistant to the Director of Public Works for the City of Jersey City for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert D. Thompson, her parents Donald and Sarah (Sadie) Magee-McNeil and daughter Donna McLaughlin; also predeceased by siblings, Donald, William, Edward and Irv. Sheila is survived by her children, James McLaughlin (Jerylann) and Maureen Walsh (Joe Weimert); siblings Marie Murphy, Gerald and Anthony McNeil. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer McLaughlin, Sarah O’Toole, Jamie McLaughlin, Joseph Weimert and William McLaughlin; great-grandchildren, Madison, Samantha, Brian and Colin. Also survived by her former husband, William McLaughlin. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
