Dear Editor:
Firefighters Rob Bielen and Tim Lynch visited the Sisters of St. Joseph ESL program to discuss fire safety with the adult students. They provided so much valuable information about smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, use of space heaters, extension cords, and most important was the need for families, to have a designated meeting point in the event of a fire. The students learned so much and were so impressed by how welcoming these public servants were to some of the newest members of the Bayonne Community telling them they were always welcome to stop into City Hall or any firehouse if they had questions of concerns. Thank you Rob and Tim for a job well done!
