A public meeting on amendments to Hoboken’s Public Works Garage Redevelopment Plan will be held on Monday. Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Multi-Service Center at 124 Grand St.
According to an announcement from the city, the meeting will discuss amendments specific to Block 1 lots 11-14, 83 Willow Ave. at the intersection of Newark Street and Willow Avenue, an existing surface lot.
The redevelopment plan for the Public Works Garage was adopted in 2006 and amended in 2008. The redevelopment plan calls for an R-1 or residential overlay zoning for the lot. If the amendment is approved by the city council, the revised zoning would allow 83 Willow Avenue Apartments LLC, which owns the property, to build an 11-story, 42-unit residential building with ground floor retail and 72 parking spaces, according to the city.
Site plans will be presented at the meeting.
