Funeral mass was offered Nov. 30 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City, for Louis G. Faccone, 53, of Colonia (formerly the Marion Section of Jersey City). He passed away Nov. 24. A businessman and bounty hunter, “Louie the Lupa” founded Northeast Fugitive Recovery Task Force and Northeast K9 Unit which provides security, drug and bomb canines to assist both NJ and NY law enforcement. At the World Trade Center site following the events of 9/11 as he assisted first responders and aided in the rebuild of downtown Manhattan. He would receive a cancer diagnosis from these altruistic efforts sixteen years later. He was the son of Louise and the late Joseph Faccone, and father of his sons Rocco and Joseph of NJDOC and Jersey City PD, respectively. He was brother to Joseph, Patricia, Jennifer, Phillip and Louisa. Brothers-in-law Brian Madden and Terry Smith, and sister-in-law Mary Ellen Jordan. Friend and companion, April Harnett. Also survived by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends – in particular his lifelong neighborhood friend, John Nardone. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
