ACETI, ETHEL ELIZABETH

A funeral mass took place Jan. 15 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, DePaul Chapel, for Ethel Elizabeth Aceti, 93, of Jersey City. She passed away on Jan. 11. Born in Bayonne to the late Emma and Andrew Chervenak, she was a graduate of Bayonne High School and worked for the Bayonne Navy Base as a Key punch operator, and later a homemaker after the birth of her first child. She lived her entire married life in Jersey City and enjoyed traveling with her husband to many foreign countries. She took great pleasure raising her family and celebrating special occasions with her grand and great grandchildren. Casino trips, crocheting, and working on word puzzles was always a simple pleasure of hers. She was the wife of the late Anthony F. Aceti; mother of Anthony J. (Susan), John (Gloria), Gerard (Elizabeth) Aceti, and Adrienne (Shayne) Spaziani; sister of the late John Chervenak and Elaine Birkner; grandmother of Lauren (Alexander) Ogens, Brian, Johnny, Andrew, Jeffrey (Amanda) and Angela Aceti; great-grandmother of Emma Sophia, and Juliana Marie Ogens.
