SCOTT, KEVIN MICHAEL

Funeral services were held Jan. 17 for Kevin Michael Scott, 61, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He passed away Jan. 12. He was a devout parishioner of St. Anne’s Church, Jersey City. Kevin was past president of the “Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Hudson County,” and volunteered in the Irish festivals. He marched in all of the St. Patrick’s Day Parades in Jersey City, Bayonne, and New York. Kevin worked every election and encouraged people to vote. An avid Jets and Mets fan, he enjoyed street fairs and parks to watch movies. In his youth, he sold newspapers to help support his family. Everyone will remember him as “Mr. Kevin of Central Avenue!” His passion in life was to help people, make them laugh and lend a helping hand. Kevin is survived by his siblings: Robert Scott Jr (Peggy), Denise Julian, Donna Scott (Alberto Sanchez), John Scott (Lori), and Ron Scott (Laura); and many nieces and nephews, and caring friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert J. and Bernice (Meyer) Scott; his siblings, Diane, Debra, Ann Palmer, and Gary Scott.
