CORRIDON, MARY ELLEN

A funeral mass was offered Feb. 3 at St. Aedan R.C. Church for Mary Ellen Corridon, 88. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 29. A life-long resident of Jersey City, known simply as Aunt Mary by most, she graduated from Snyder High School and went on to work for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co (MetLife) in New York City for 42 years. She was a parishioner of St. Aedan’s Church and was an avid traveler. Mary was devoted to her family and was loved by many. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Maureen Corridon (née O’Connor), her brothers, Michael and Thomas Corridon, and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Corridon (née McLeavey) and Patricia Corridon (née Hurley). She is survived by her  nieces, Colleen Corridon and Kerry Ann Materowski and her husband Charlie, her nephews, Francis (Skip) Corridon and Michael Corridon and his wife Priscilla, her great niece Tabbitha Materowski, and her great nephews, Richard (Ricky) Corridon and his wife Shelley, Thomas (TJ) Materowski, Declan Materowski, Michael (MAC) Corridon, and Jack Corridon, as well as many close friends. Mary touched the hearts of many and will truly be missed. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Jersey City.
