Bayonne agencies share COVID-19 fact sheet from CDC

From the Board of Education to the Office of Emergency Management, different agencies and organization across Bayonne took to social media to share the fact sheet pertaining to the novel coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, with students, parents and fellow members of the community.

The sheet, designed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, recommends a number of steps residents can take to lower the risk of contracting the virus.

Bayonne Library to show movies with Irish themes in March

The Bayonne Free Public Library will offer films with Irish themes in March. Movies will be shown on the second floor gallery on Wednesday afternoons at 1 p.m.

On March 18 is the crime drama “Kill the Irishman.”

On March 25 is the drama “Evelyn.”

Learn how to breathe properly in 90 minutes

Discover the power of your breath to manage your mind and experience instant peace and calm. Residents of Bayonne are invited to join “Beyond Breath,” a 90-minute free workshop and get a glimpse of the Sudarshan Kriya, a “revolutionary” breathing technique taught in the Happiness Program.

The technique is an “instant energy booster that awakens and relaxes the mind.”

Guests will learn the peace and calm of a unique guided meditation, keys to manage your mind, and the power of surrounding yourself with positive, like-minded people.

Those in attendance will be taught to master their thoughts and emotions, the apparent key to managing the quality of the day.

The class is free to attend at 697 Avenue C on March 14 and March 28 starting at 10:30 a.m

Free Ice Day at Rita’s upcoming

Stop by Rita’s Ice and Frozen Custard for the First Day of Spring free Italian Ice giveaway on March 19 at 1347 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Free ice will be distributed from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Musical Mondays at the Museum

Mayor James Davis and the Bayonne Municipal Council announced the lineup for Musical Mondays at the Museum, located at 229 Broadway.

  • May 11, Mystical Majesty Band

Doors open at 6 p.m. Entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
