A funeral mass was held March 5 at St. Dominic’s RC Church for Joseph Diglio, 78, of Jersey City. He passed away March 2 at Speciality Hospital of Lakewood. He was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident. Joseph was a union representative for Local 1412 in Jersey City for many years. He was a member of the Hudson County Democratic Organization, West Hudson Civic Association, and a member of St. John’s Baptist Church in Jersey City where he served Thanksgiving dinner for many years. Surviving is his wife Arlene Smeds Diglio, three daughters Beth Witte, Carlene Magurne, and Lynn Bono; his brother and sister-in-law John and Marianne Diglio; and seven grandchildren Amanda Magurne, Emily Magurne, Samantha Bono, Casey Witte, Jaclyn Bono, John Witte III, and Nicole Bono. Services arranged by Van Hise and Callagan Funeral Home, Pt. Pleasant Beach.
