Show Appreciation to Bayonne’s Medical Staff

As we all know, the medical and support staff at Bayonne’s hospitals are putting their lives at risk everyday in order to save lives.

The Bayonne Chamber of Commerce is spearheading an event to remind healthcare workers how much the residents of the city appreciate the work they are doing.

On Sunday, April 5 at 7 p.m., they ask the citizens of Bayonne to drive-by past Bayonne Hospital on 29th St. and Avenue E and Barnabas Health on Broadway and 24th Street, honk your horns or shout out a cheer and wave a show of thanks.

You are reminded to maintain social distancing by not overcrowding your car and only travel with your immediate family members who currently live with you.  Please stay in your vehicle at all times, do not stop in front of the hospitals and follow all standard traffic regulations.

Another way to show appreciation is to have food sent to the hospitals, EMS, police or fire departments. They are all on the front lines for the protection of all residents of Bayonne.  Not only would you be supporting first responders, but local restaurants as well.

Restaurant gift cards of any denomination can be dropped in the mail slot of The Bayonne Community News office, 447 Broadway (21st St.).  They will be delivered to the appropriate representatives for our first responders.

Let’s do this, Bayonne!  Show our health care workers how much we appreciate the sacrifices they are making every day.
