VARGAS, JENNIE MONTANEZ

A memorial service was held March 16 for Jennie Montañez Vargas, 62. She passed away March 12. Born to John and Maria Vargas, Jennie grew and served her community as a police dispatcher and police clerk typist for the Hoboken Police Department. Jennie built a family of love with her husband, Martin Peralta, and they were blessed with daughters Dayna and Ireina Peralta and granddaughters Jalissa and Alyanna Genao. She treasured time spent with her family and could be found dancing, singing, and being the life of the party whenever friends and loved ones gathered. Jennie rejoins her parents, and two sisters, Elba Burgos and Wanda Valentin, in the hearts of her family. Her memory will be honored by her husband, daughters, granddaughters, and sisters Maria Vargas and Jennie’s twin, Frances Medina (5 minutes younger), and many dear friends.
