REISER, ROBERT G. Sr.

A private interment took place for Robert G. Reiser, Sr., 86, a resident of Madison at Clermont in Clermont Fla. He passed away at South Lakes Hospital in Orlando on February 10. Born and raised in Jersey City, Bob lived most of his life in Jersey City. He went to elementary school at P.S. 17 and graduated from Snyder High School in 1951, concentrating in architectural drawing Bob attended the University of Miami for two years and served in the United States Army for four years, stationed at Fort Hood Texas. He married Lois Graff on June 25, 1960 at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Jersey City. After the Army he worked for the Air Reduction Company as a forklift operator, for Hudson City Savings bank as a teller and manager and later for Commercial Trust Company in the Mortgage Department. He volunteered for many years at Christ Hospital in the physical therapy department. Bob enjoyed trips to Florida. He became a snowbird living in Florida during the winter months, before moving to Clermont year-round four years ago. In his younger days he enjoyed working on cars and doing home improvements. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, and Grand Jurors Association of Hudson County. He also served for a time as a Boy Scout leader. He is preceded in death by his father William E Reiser, Sr and mother Elizabeth Sewell Reiser, his wife Lois Graff Reiser, and nephew William E. Reiser, III. Bob is survived by his brother William E. Reiser, Jr (Hazel), his 6 children, Robert George Jr (Lisa), D. Manton, Richard Charles (Amanda), Eleanor Reiser Price (David), Douglas William, and Daniel Edwin (Gabrielle). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Madeline, Robert, Steven, Amanda, Kayla, Emily, Kyle, William, Ondrej, Eleanor, Joseph, Daniel, Ethan, and Lois. Also his nephew Glenn Sewell Reiser.
