CHINERY, ROBERT LOUIS, SR.

A life celebration will take place at a future date for Robert Louis Chinery, Sr., 80, of Jersey City. He passed away April 7. ‘Bob’ was born in Jersey City, to Francis and Anna Chinery and lived his entire life as a resident of Jersey City. He built a successful roofing company that spanned over 40 years. Bob was a lover of all sports – especially the Yankees. Everyone knew Bob as an engaging storyteller and the person who everyone wanted to tell jokes and dance the night away at parties. While he has left behind many of these family and friends in sadness, he would hope that we all cling to our most joyous memories of him, and above all, that we enjoy our lives to their fullest extents. He was the father of his sons Richard, Harold, Robert, Jr. and his wife Maureen; daughters Barbara Ann and her husband Anthony, Noreen, the late Patricia, and Catherine; grandfather to Harold, Lisa, Anthony, Barbara Ann, Brittney, Katharine, and Robert III; great-grandfather to Colin, Julia, Kieran, Anthony IV, and Patrick; brother to Ida and Ella, and the late Helen, Blanche, Dorothy, Grace, Francis, and Caroline.
