Funeral services took place for Charlene Mumford. She passed away April 15. She was born to the late Willie and Bernice Beatty and raised in Jersey City and received her education at P.S 41 and Henry Snyder High School. She continued her education at American Business Institute in Newark, where she graduated with honors. A wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Known to many as Charock, Charlene went above and beyond for those who were in need. She held others in high regard and placed no limits on helping others. It was truly her love of God that shined through. Charlene was employed at Hudson County Division of Social Services as a Senior Clerk for 21 years until her passing. She made many friends and took pride in helping those that crossed her path. Charlene leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James Mumford, two daughters Alexis Nicole Frazier & Carmen Sheree Mumford; one son, Khalid Jamal Mumford; two grandchildren Deaunte and Justice; sisters Willa Reid & Denise Beatty, brother, Willie Beatty; nine aunts, seven uncles, 23 nieces, 20 nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. Services arranged by the West Funeral & Cremation Service, Bayonne.
