Dear Editor:
Timothy Karr (Hoboken, where are your masks? Reporter, May 4) complains that “white collar” Hobokenites have a “sense of entitlement” which is “not pretty” because they do not wear face masks as often as “working class” Union City. While sitting on a bench in Hoboken, only 37 percent of those who passed him, he says, wore masks, and in Union City, the count was 84 percent.
Why is this? Perhaps the “working class” folks watch too much fake fear-mongering TV, and the “entitled” ones check the Internet, where one can read online that most doctors say that only those who are sick and coughing need wear masks.
