Bayonne parking meters and pay stations resume enforcement May 26

Orange and Purple Zone residents must renew permits by June 30

The Bayonne Parking Utility announced that enforcement of parking meters and parking lot pay stations will be back in effect as of Tuesday, May 26.

Motorists will then be required to pay to use on-street metered parking spaces during enforcement hours. They will also be required to pay to use spaces in municipal parking lots, where motorists pay by plate at pay stations during enforcement hours.

Enforcement of street-sweeper regulations and alternate side of the street parking came back into effect earlier this month on the designated streets.

The Parking Utility is not enforcing residential permit parking zones until further notice.

The Parking Utility reminds residents of the Orange and Purple Zones to renew their permits online or by mail by Tuesday, June 30.

The Orange Zone is the area that is anchored by the 8th Street Light Rail Station, and the Purple Zone covers the southern end of the First Ward near the Bayonne Bridge.
