Naked male arrested for performing ‘lewd act’ outside of Secaucus hotel

A naked man was arrested after reports that he was performing a lewd act outside the Red Roof Inn in Secaucus on June 4.

At 11:57 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of the Red Roof Inn at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. Units responded to the scene on a report of a naked male performing a lewd act.

During the investigation, police arrested Jason Rivera, 29, of Garfield. He was arrested for lewdness, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine, according to authorities.

Rivera was served his complaint warrant. According to police, he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County jail.

A few days later, police were back in the area for another methamphetamine- related incident.

Alleged methamphetamine

On June 7, Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit observed a suspicious vehicle near the Red Roof Inn at 15 Meadowlands Parkway, police reported.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Wood Avenue around 11:21 a.m., where the police arrested Victor Rotonda, 37, according to authorities.

Police said Rotonda, of Toms River, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine within 500 feet of a public park.

He was also charged with possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia, unlawful acquisition of handgun ammunition, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance believed to be marijuana.

Rotonda was served his complaint warrant, authorities said. He was subsequently transported to the Hudson County jail.

These charges are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
