WASILEWSKI, WALTER J.

Private funeral services were conducted for Walter J. Wasilewski, 91, of Jersey City. He passed away peacefully at the Hackensack University Medical Center on June 7. Born in Jersey City, Walter was a lifelong resident and long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church. He was a graduate of St. Ann’s Polish R.C. Grammar School and St. Aloysius High School. Walter worked as a plumber and was the owner of Wasilewski Plumbing and Heating in Jersey City. He had many hobbies and interests but had a particular affinity for music and dancing. Walter was predeceased by his wife, Maureen Wasilewski. He was the father of Marianne Tutino and Nancy Gilronan and her husband, Scott; grandfather of Matthew and Timothy Henry and Allison, Olivia and Felicia Boi; great-grandfather of Aedan, Christian, Demiana and Briana.
