THORP, TINA MARIE

Funeral services have been held for Tina Marie Thorp, born January 15, 1956 to the late Essie Marie and Benjamin Thorp Sr. Tina, was a long-time resident of Jersey City NJ. Tina, 63, graduated from Snyder High School in 1975 and then from Jersey City State College, May 1979. In 1979 Tina began her teaching career. She taught at P.S 5 and later, in 2012 became the second vice president of the Jersey City Education Association. After battling an unexpected short illness, Tina went into eternal rest at her home. Tina leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Gentrell Sessoms, brother Benjamin Thorp Jr. and long-time friend Rosco Campbell. Services arranged by the Cotton-Parker Funeral Home, Jersey City.
