A Mass of Christian Burial was offered June 27 at Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City, for Robert James Brady of Jersey City, 89. He passed away peacefully June 19, surrounded by. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, he was the son of Joseph and Mary (Mylott) Brady, Robert was the eldest son of four boys and graduated from Saint Peter’s Prep in 1948. He then went on to receive his Law degree from Fordham University in 1955, and practiced law at Dickson & Creighton Law Firm in Hoboken. Robert served his country in the Navy after being drafted from 1955 to 1957, traveling much of Europe during that time. He was a member and the former president of The Hoboken Rotary Club, an avid fly fisherman and loved history and cats. He also collected stamps and fancied a glass of wine now and then. Robert is predeceased by his parents, his brothers Thomas and Francis Brady, and his nephew Joseph Brady. He will be missed by his brother Joseph (Pam) Brady, his niece Elizabeth (Lisa) Brady, and nephews Kevin (Julie) Brady and Dennis (Jennifer) Brady, as well as his 10 great nieces and nephews, and his two cats Sybil and Rocky.
