FAVAZZI, CARMELA

A funeral mass was offered June 320 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Jersey City, for Carmela Favazzi, 89, mother and grandmother, of Jersey City. She passed away peacefully on June 27. She was born in Jersey City and lived part of her life in Frezzano, Sicily. She returned to the United States to marry her late husband of 38 years, Salvatore Favazzi. They raised their family in Jersey City. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who adored her family. Carmela is survived by her children Rose Marie Maresca and her husband, Thomas, and Lisa Ruvolo and her husband, Michael. She was the grandmother of Christine and Thomas Maresca and Allyson and Amanda Ruvolo. She is also survived by her brother, Carl Castrovinci, her sister, Mary Brancatelli, and many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her brother, Salvatore Castrovinci.
