Food deliveries continue 

Thursday distributions from Hunger Free Bayonne, taken over by the city, and the Bayonne Food Bank are announced on Bayonne social media pages and on Mayor James Davis’s social media.

Man arrested after alleged attack 

Robert Mahne, 24, of Bayonne, was taken into custody at 578 Avenue C after an alleged unprovoked attack outside Domino’s Pizza, according to the BPD.

The victim was walking to his car after exiting Domino’s when Mahne, unprovoked, allegedly punched him several times about the head before being stopped by an off-duty officer.

Parking update

Bayonne Board of Education school parking lots remain open for public use 24-7, according to the OEM.
The upper lot at Midtown Community School is closed for PAL use.

Man arrested for leaving child unattended in Bayonne

Robert Glover, 48, from Jersey City, was taken into custody at at Super Spin Laundromat, 1 Lefante Way in Bayonne, on a report of a child, 1, left unattended.

Glover, the grandfather, was allegedly sitting in a minivan in the parking lot. Officers recovered several packets of heroin and a glass pipe allegedly in Glover’s possession.

Glover was placed under arrest, and the child was transported to the Bayonne Medical Center.

The child’s mother responded to the medical center.
