Man found fatally shot in Hoboken

On August 7,  just after 10:30 p.m., members of the Hoboken Police Department responded to an apartment on the 300 block of Grand Street on a report of a deceased male, according to a press release from the Hudson County Prosecutor.

Officers found the victim, a 26-year-old Willingboro, N.J. man, later identified as Marquise Davis, with apparent gunshot wound(s) to the upper body.

Davis was pronounced deceased at 10:52 p.m. at the scene of the shooting.

The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Hoboken Police Department are actively investigating this case.

No arrests have been made at this time.
