A private funeral mass has been offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield, for Louis Michael Taglieri Jr., 59, of Clifton, formerly of Hoboken. He passed away suddenly in the presence of his loving wife while vacationing in Virginia on Tuesday, Aug. 11. Louis was the Head Football Coach for the Hoboken High school Redwings. He was a graduate of Hoboken Highschool and attended St. Leo’s University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Lou was a proud veteran of the United States Air force during which time he supported Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Surviving is his beloved wife Gabriela (nee Garcia) and his devoted children Shayne, Taylar, and Trey. He was the cherished grandfather of Kennedy Carter. Dearest brother of Philip (Karen) Taglieri, Ginnine Tattoli (Vito) and Mariann Veras (Jose). Adored uncle of Julian, Lorenzo, Christopher, Dallas, Madison, Anna, Eamon, Emma, Olivia, and Isabella. Lou was also survived by in laws, Juan and Maria Garcia, and sister in laws Matilda (William) Muniz, Claudia (Eamon) Monaghan, and Victoria Garcia. Predeceased by his parents Beatrice (nee Gmahle) and Louis Taglieri, and his brothers Paul and William. Services arranged by the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, Hoboken.
