A Bayonne man has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.
On Aug. 28, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Eric Fischer, 38, of Bayonne, on charges that he allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old female acquaintance on Aug. 18.
Fischer has been charged with two charges of sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, terroristic threats, hindering, and providing false statements.
Fischer was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit just after 1 p.m. Aug. 28 without incident.
Fischer was charged with a prior incident of alleged sexual contact with the victim on or about Nov. 1, 2019.
In that incident, Fischer was charged with sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
Prosecutor Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit for the investigation and arrest.

The above charges are merely accusations. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
