Shyrief Borders, of Bayonne, was taken into custody at approximately 2:59 a.m. on Sept. 27 from the area of 48th Street and Broadway, according to the BPD.
Officers responded to 990 Broadway, the Room 990 Bar and Lounge, on a report of a large group fighting in the middle of the street.
Upon arrival of the officers, the majority of the group had already disbursed and begun to leave the area, authorities said. The exception was three males, one of whom was Borders.
As officers ordered the men to leave the area, Borders refused. According to the police, he allegedly began arguing with and shouting at the officers, causing area residents to become alarmed and exit their homes.
Police said Borders was given additional commands to leave the area but ignored them as he continued his “tumultuous behavior.” He was subsequently placed under arrest.
Borders was charged with disorderly conduct.
