Three people were arrested on Oct. 18 after squatting in a vacant apartment in Bayonne, according to the BPD.

Shavalis D. Arroyo of Hoboken, Joseph M. Catagnus III of Hoboken, and Lauren M. Kurjeski of Bayonne were charged with criminal tresspassing.

Arroyo, Catagnus III, and Kurjeski were taken into custody at approximately 3:57 a.m. from a vacant apartment at 865 Broadway. Officers responded on a noise complaint coming from that apartment.

Officers learned that the apartment was not rented and should be vacant. Inside the apartment, officers located the three actors who could not provide any lawful justification for being there.

During the arrest, Arroyo was discovered to be wanted on six outstanding warrants, five out of Hoboken and one out of Jersey City, and Kurjeski was wanted on two warrants out of Hoboken.
